Sheer Publishing placing local worship songs on CCLI

Feb 7, 2014

Nathi ZunguCCLI (Christian Copyright Licensing International) was established in 1988 to provide churches with simple, affordable solutions of copyright issues. CCLI makes song lyrics available online www.ccli.co.za for churches to download and use in their services.

This is an excellent revenue avenue for our songwriters and composers whose music is used in the local churches. Sheer Publishing is in the process of submitting worship songs to CCLI so that churches worldwide can have access to the Praise and worship gems available in our local African languages.

Sheer Publishing’s main aim is to see more indigenous language songs being used by the broader church.  For so long has this not fully been utilised because of a lack of knowledge. Currently Sheer Publishing’s gospel composer Nathi Zungu’s lyrics are currently available through the CCLI database.

Congratulation to Nathi Zungu for being the first African Language composer listed on CCLI!
