Troy_M got into the music industry in 2007 at the age of 11, teaching himself different styles of music, and growing his talent as a lyricist and musician. from there He released his first single ‘’Tseba’’ in 2012 featuring some of the best local acts from his hometown. The song did well earning him a spot in the top 5 local best rappers inBotshabelo announced by the community radio station Mosupatsela FM 107.4.
In 2015 Troy_M was signed to Ilema Records, one of the fastest growing companies in the Free State, and his talent and undeniable presence were showcased at various events and appearances, helping build a good track record as an artist as well as a music producer and engineer. In 2017 he further elevated his music career when he was selected to perform at the well-known “Macufe Tshepe vs Hip Hop” event in Bloemfontein.
In December 2018 Troy_M successfully produced the album ‘’White Heart’’ for Farmboy, one of the local artists in his hometown. In 2020 he then again produced a masterpiece EP called ‘Sesotho Fashioneng’ by Ntate Stunna, a Lesotho artist who took the media and the internet by storm.
Troy_M then formed the “Troy Nation” movement, which started locally, throwing parties and shows around his hometown. He launched a comprehensive talent search for gifted rappers, singers, producers, models, and visionaries to be signed to the movement, which caught a lot of positive attention.
Having worked with multiple emerging and well-known musicians since early in his career, under Tronix Studios, his own record label, he has so far managed to help build reputable music careers for various upcoming musicians including Tronix Music Group, Ntate Stunner, Thembile, J-cob, Farmboy, MC Fire, King Pao, Andrianto, Malome Vactor, and many more.
Troy_M has also gained greater acknowledgment since and has shared the stage with top national artists including Kwesta, Ricky Rick, Nadia, Shimza, Cassper Nyovest, A-Reece, and others.
In 2019 Troy decided it was time to work more on his own music to share his story with his fans, he produced, mixed, and mastered the four-track ‘’Mevsyou EP’’ that featured various upcoming local artists.
