Sheer congratulates our clients nominated for the 2nd annual Basadi in Music Awards (Bima) 2023.

The nominees are:

• Skye Wanda, who received nominations in two categories, namely ‘Artist of the Year’ and ‘Dance Artist of the Year’.
• Dr Buselaphi for ‘Traditional Artist of the Year’.
• Delta The Leo for ‘Reggae Artist of the Year’.
• Brenda Mtambo for ‘Afro Pop Artist of the Year’.

The Basadi in Music Awards was founded in 2022 to celebrate female talent and achievements in the music industry. The all-encompassing awards honour varied talent such as singers, rappers, DJs, composers, producers, and creatives within the music ecosystem.

The spirit of the awards is to uplift, celebrate and showcase just what women can achieve when given the platform to shine. 

The awards also honour generations of women who played heroic roles in the liberation of women in South Africa and on the continent of Africa and world at large.

Nominees and winners are voted for by the public.
