One of Mzansi’s best female rapper has signed on the dotted line and is now part of Cassper Nyovest’s stable Family Tree. “It’s been hard tryna keep this on the DL!!!! But I’m super excited to let you guys know that I’m officially under the Family Tree Records stable!!!! I’m excited to be working with Cassper Nyovest and the Family Tree Records team on my project!,” she wrote on social media.
Nadia Nakai who was inspired to start rapping when she lived in Kenya, was first signed to Psyfo at Sid Records for four years. Feeling neglected at the label late in 2015, Nadia took jumped at the opportunity when Cassper Nyovest wanted to sign her to his stable Family Tree. “Cassper is an amazing boss, very hands-on but also respects my creative process and wants us to be the best in the country,” she says. She went on to add that it’s not as if she was doing badly- it’s just that now she’s doing better.
The self proclaimed African Rap Queen looks to be picking up speed at her new home having already released her single titled “Money Back”.
