Johannesburg, South Africa – May 4, 2023 – Neill Solomon’s epic composition, “Homeland, A Song for Refugees,” in collaboration with the Turquoise Harmony Institute has evolved into a thought-provoking documentary film. Produced by Firdoze Bulbulia and directed by Faith Isiakpere, the film delves into the lives of refugees and their day-to-day struggles with displacement and xenophobia, and the need for social cohesion.
The film will be premiered at the Cannes Film Festival on the 22nd of May at the 4th Edition of Pavillon Afriques. With “Homeland, A Song for Refugees” as the centerpiece, the film presents real human experiences that will take the audience on a journey through the eyes of those who have been displaced, offering a unique perspective on the world.
