Indie Acoustic Project now accepting submissions for Best CDs of 2014 Awards.

TIAPThe Indie Acoustic Project is dedicated to giving recognition to outstanding works of innovative acoustic (or mainly acoustic) music. The IAP website at also features the past finalists and winners of the Best CDs of the Year Awards, and information about the 50 Best Indie Acoustic CDs of the 1990s.

How to submit:

Send a CD of each title you want considered, along with an email contact address to:

No other material is necessary, although a brief bio sheet may be included. You may submit as many titles as you wish, but only one copy per title is required.  There is no charge of any kind for any aspect of these awards.

What qualifies:

Any full-length CD that: (1) has at least some acoustic instrumentation, and (2) has been (or will have been) released for sale to the public during 2014 by any entity other than a major US label. Recordings released by a non-major but distributed by a major label do qualify for consideration, as do recordings that feature electric or electronic instrumentation in addition to acoustic instrumentation.

The fine print:

Every submission will be given consideration for inclusion in the Awards. Fifteen awards will be given-one per category. The categories are as follows: Acoustic Ensemble, Alt Country, Alternative Rock, Celtic, Instrumental, Latin, Multi-Genre, Progressive Edge; Rock, Roots, Singer-Songwriter (Male), Female Singer-Songwriter (Female), World Music Africa, World Music Eurasia/Global Beat, and Best Lyrics. Consideration for, and inclusion in the Awards is a public service of the Indie Acoustic Project, and as such, there is no charge of any kind for any aspect of these awards. All decisions regarding any aspect of the site and Awards will be made solely at the discretion of the Indie Acoustic Project and will be final. All submissions must be postmarked no later than December 31, 2014.
