The KwaZulu-Natal United Music Industry Association (KUMISA) has announced an open call for its upcoming artist management and publishing masterclasses to be held in Durban, South Africa.
The primary goal of this initiative, according to KUMISA, is to strengthen the presence of artist managers and music publishers in KZN who are dedicated to advocating for KZN artists and elevating them to A-list status throughout Africa.
Applicants are required to provide the following documents:
- Completed KUMISA masterclass application form
- Profile/CV
- One-page motivational letter explaining why they should be considered for the program
- Certified copy of identity document/passport
- ID-sized recent photograph of the applicant
Additionally, applicants must be KUMISA members residing in KZN, hold a matriculation qualification, and currently manage or have signed an artist as a publisher.
All required documents should be submitted via email, courier, or in-person to 114 Bulwer, Glenwood, Durban, South Africa, or emailed to projects@kumisa.com before 4 pm on January 31st.
Shortlisted candidates will receive notifications by February 28th and undergo one-on-one interviews. Those selected for the masterclasses will engage in sessions over two days a month for ten months.
