Sheer Publishing is saddened to announce the news that long time client and South Africa’s local industry gem has passed on.

Brown Dash real name Sphiwe Mpamile passed away on the same day as the 6th year Anniversary of the passing of the late great Brenda Fassie on the 9th of May.

Brown Dash was a vital and instrumental member of the Kwaito fraternity, who brought South African audiences to their feet with songs such “Vum Vum”, “Phans Komthunziwelanga” and “Puff n Pass.”

Brown started his career as a member of the popular kwaito outfit Ama’skumfete where the likes of Doc Shebeleza got their start and won several South African Music Awards for his outstanding work
