The Afro-Jazz Renaissance movement in the 90’s was led by the late composer and piano genius – Moses Taiwa Molelekwa. M2KR (MELT2000 Revisited) in conjunction with Moses Estate, represented by his son Zoe Molelekwa, have embarked on a 2023/4 remix project for which they have chosen tracks from his groundbreaking album Genes & Spirit.
With Episode ONE released on the 17th of April 2023 (the artist’s birthday) Durban based label M2KR proudly introduces mainly South African producers, remixers, and DJs such as Rich Acoustic, Cool Affair, Echo Deep, and Producer Duo Deeper Kings.
Episode TWO is due to be released on the 24th of July presenting further remixes by Slashisticks, Malinkandi & Jazzman M, RoneeDeep, Deep Xcape and a second track by Echo Deep.
