It’s been a great year for South African music on all levels. Some of our artists are collaborating with international musicians while others are producing for the likes of Drake or performing at every American festival you can think of. It’s been great to watch (and even better to report on!).
The latest South African who looks set to make an impact overseas is folk singer, Louise Carver who recently teamed up with Boston based DJ, Joe Bermudez on a new track called Sunrise. The song has already been played on 1033 Amp Radio in the states.
However, the week got even better for Louise Carver after it was revealed that the song had already broken into the Billboard digital charts and made its debut at number 50.
