Reigning from what is known as the “Mother City” Ayabulela Pakade recognised as AyaProw is a 30-year-old fierce multi-talented artist that was raised in Khayelitsha.
Growing up AYAPROW was inspired by his older brother and a local group of DJs named “SKALAZO”, as they were making waves in the Township with news of their skill and prowess with the turntables, making rounds. AYAPROW would sneak out to watch “SKALAZO” perform and listen to all the new music and thereafter would grow his own music collection and mimic “SKALAZO” behind closed doors at home.
His heydays in music were crafted then. AYAPROW grew his brand across many townships in Cape Town, performing at social gatherings and live concerts. His due excellent performances at such a young age earned him the name “PROFESSOR AYA” from his fans.
