Odartei Milla Lamptey: The Man Behind Azonto Music

Oct 25, 2018

Odartei Milla Lamptey, popularly known as Gasmilla or International Fisherman, is a Ghanaian Azonto/Hip Life artist.

Known for his megahits “Aboodatoi” and “Telemo“, Gasmilla re-branded afrobeat into Azonto music, which blew up every corner in London, Canada and the United States.

From Azonto King to International Fisherman, Gasmilla consistently delivers hit after hit. Azonto is a dance and music genre from Ghana, adopted in the United Kingdom. The dance originated from a traditional dance called Kpanlogo, associated with the coastal towns in the country such as Chorkor, James Town, La, Teshie, Nungua and Tema, in the Greater Accra Region.
