Born as the only child Olebile Sedumedi popularly known as Maxy Khoisan grew up with songs on her lips and music in her veins. Her 2000 debut album Makorakoretsa, became an instant hit and made Maxy Khoisan take center stage, and earned her a place amongst Botswana`s leading talented artists as the top female vocalist in the country. She soon dominated the music scene and became a regular feature on the music scene at festivals, concerts, and corporate gigs. Uwee!” and “Makorakoretsa” which caught up the country and Africa`s attention by dominating all the airwaves both locally and beyond the borders. Makorakoretsa introduced Maxy KhoiSan to South Africa, Zimbabwe, Zambia, Japan, China, Ivory Coast Market, and various country markets, making her a global phenomenon.
