Sheer Music Publishing represents 4111 South African songwriters and 198 from the rest of the Continent. Music publishing represents songwriters (and their songs) while music labels represent artists (and their recordings). Sheer Music Publishing takes no upfront fees, but rather a percentage of income in line with the writers’ earnings. Ray White (in for Bruce Whitfield on The Money Show) interviewed Sheer Music Publishing Managing Director David Alexander for the “ShapeShifter” feature.
