Since 1967 the MIDEM trade show has been organised annually in and around the Palais des Festivals et des Congrès in Cannes, France. MIDEM is billed as the leading international business event for the music ecosystem, whereby several thousand musicians, producers, agents, managers, lawyers, executives, entrepreneurs and journalists from around the globe regularly attend the event. MIDEM provides a forum for business talks, political and legal discussions and is a market where global distribution and music deals are sealed. Whilst recording, artist management, and publisher delegates network, the new artists showcase their material.

During the 50 years of its existence, the event has developed tremendously (like the industry) and is now focused on the core music business (labels, publishers, rights societies), the technology sector (startups, developers and big tech companies), brands and the agencies that represent them (for music and brand campaigns).

Sheer Publishing has been attending MIDEM for the past 22 years and we will be present again at this year. It is a great platform to ensure that we expand our local music markets by gaining international presence.
